Crack away when you eat crabs.
And when you have a plateful of shrimps, hold them by the tail and eat with your fingers.
It’s good to be hungry.

Tired from driving C5 and SLEX, and kids were getting grumpy from the long drive, we decided to drop by at Dampa Express—a seafood restaurant along Laguna Blvd, near the entrance of Sta. Rosa Estates and in front of Laguna Technopark.
The place is homey. The ambience is fresh as it is wonderful, even though there’s an apologetic post of “Bear with us while we have a soft opening…” Nonetheless, it was clean all throughout.

There were animated designs of crustaceans—fun, fun, fun with its vibrant pop of sea-orange and fire coral colour.
There’s nothing frilly here at Dampa Express—that home-like feel; the nautical and marine theme, evidently written on the walls.
Consistency, friendly service and laid-back setting are the trademarks of its reasonable price. It’s a perfect place for a long family dinner, after-work meal with friends, or flying solo. Not suitable for a romantic date. However, you may do it at your own risk.
“Life is good when you eat seafood.” Really.

DAMPA EXPRESS menu brims with generous portions of crabs, shrimps in bilao, steamy fish, tuna belly, pusit– festive and filling to feed the six of us.
Our first favourite was the buttered crabs and shrimps. Wonderful flavour!
We had sinigang tuna belly, chopsuey, and Dampansit. Oh, and the crispy pata. With P2,588.00, food this great is worth the trip. All of this special deal !!
While our kids enjoyed their order of shrimp tempura.

It’s style and substance altogether. A dining experience we won’t forget.
