FIVE more names have been added to the list of prospective members of the Cabinet of President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
Press Secretary-designate Beatrix “Trixie” Cruz-Angeles revealed the new nominations on Monday. They are:
- Maria Zenaida Angping as head of the Presidential Management Staff. Angping is a three-term representative from the third district of Manila.
- Mayor Christina Frasco as the Department of Tourism. Frasco is the mayor of Liloan town in Cebu and the daughter of Cebu Gov. Gwendolyn “Gwen” Garcia, who is presently the spokesman for Vice President-elect Sara Duterte-Carpio.
- Amenah Pangandaman as head of the Department of Budget Management. Pangandaman had served as Budget and Management undersecretary.
- Ivan John Enrile Uy as Department of Information Communications and Technology Uy is an expert in computer forensics, cybercrime, electronic evidence, e-commerce and digital ethics. His last government stint was as chairman of the Commission on Information and Communications Technology during the Aquino administration.
- Broadcaster Erwin Tulfo, Department of Social Welfare and Development Tulfo is recognized for “helping Filipinos here and abroad.”
All five have accepted their nominations. They bring to 18 the number of Cabinet nominations.

- Alfred Pascual (Trade and Industry),
- Manny Bonoan (Public Works and Highways),
- Anton Lagdameo (Special Assistant to the President) and
- Press Secretary-designate Beatrix “Trixie” Cruz-Angeles
Sen. Juan Edgardo “Sonny” Angara on Monday welcomed Pangandaman’s nomination as Budget chief and said he looks forward to working with Pangandaman in discussing the proposed P5.2-trillion national budget for 2023.
The senator said Pangandaman used to be the chief of staff of his father, Senate President Edgardo Angara.
“Given her long experience in both the legislature and the executive branches, we look forward to working with Mina [Pangandaman] once again as we go over the 2023 national budget later this year,” he said.
Angara also said he would be able to collaborate with Pangandaman, who had worked with returning Sen. Lorna Regina “Loren” Legarda when she was chairman of the Senate Committee on Finance.
“With her stint in the Senate, the Department of Budget and Management and the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, we can be assured that the coordination between the two branches of government will be smooth,” Angara said.
