
A total of 1,083 police personnel in this province will be deployed for the opening of the 30th Southeast Asian Games (SEAG) at the Philippine Arena, Ciudad de Victoria in Bocaue town this November 30.
Col. Chito Bersaluna, provincial director of the Bulacan Police Provincial Office and commander for Bulacan Cluster of Task Force Central Luzon, said the province is all set for the SEAG opening with regard to their deployment plan, series of meetings, inspections and simulation exercises.
“We will optimize the deployment of our police officers who will provide safety and security. We will boost police presence and visibility to address all possible needs and queries of all the delegates and participants of the 2019 30th SEA Games,” Bersaluna said following the conduct of “showdown inspection” held at the Open Parade Ground in this camp on Friday.
Some 10,000 athletes from Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, Timor Leste, Singapore, and Vietnam are expected to attend the opening.
Bersaluna said the intensified provincewide anti-criminality operations on Thursday resulted in the arrest of 46 suspects that include 13 wanted persons, 27 in drug operations, and six in other crime incidents. (PNA)
