IMUS CITY, Cavite – The powerful earthquake that shook a wide area of Luzon at 5:11 p.m. Monday was felt as a magnitude IV in Tagaytay City, while only as a magnitude III in the cities of Dasmariñas, General Trias, Cavite and the town of Indang, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
Phivolcs’ earthquake information no. 2, issued at 6:03 p.m. Monday traced the Magnitude 6.1 earthquake’s epicenter around 18 km north 67° E of Castillejos (Zambales), with a depth of focus measured at 12 km.
The agency said the quake was tectonic in origin.

Intensity 4 – Pasig City; Makati City; Caloocan City; Meycauayan and San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan; Floridablanca, Pampanga; Villasis, Pangasinan; Villasis, Pangasinan; Baguio City; Marikina City; Las Pinas City
Intensity 3 – Lucban, Quezon; Muntinlupa City, Cabanatuan City; Palayan City; Gapan City; Santo Domingo and Talavera, Nueva Ecija
Intensity 2 – Baler, Aurora
